Contact Form
If you contact us via the contact form, your submission—including the contact details you provide there—will be stored by us for processing the request and possible follow-up questions. We do not share this data without your consent. The processing of the entered data thus exclusively takes place based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw this consent at any time by sending us an informal email. The legality of data processing carried out prior to withdrawal remains unaffected. Data entered in the contact form remains stored until you ask us for erasure, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage lapses (e.g., after your request is fully processed). Mandatory statutory provisions—especially retention periods—remain unaffected.
Inquiry via Email, Phone, or Fax
If you contact us by email, telephone, or fax, your request, including all personal data resulting from it (e.g., name, request content), will be stored and processed for the purpose of handling your concern. We do not disclose this data without your consent. Processing of this data is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry is related to contract performance or necessary for pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing relies on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR) and/or our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), as we have a legitimate interest in the effective handling of the inquiries addressed to us. Data sent to us via contact requests remain with us until you request deletion, withdraw your consent to storage, or the storage purpose lapses (e.g., after the request is fully processed). Statutory retention requirements remain unaffected.
Use of Your Data for Direct Marketing
Newsletter Subscription
If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers. The only required information for receiving the newsletter is your email address and name. Providing additional data is voluntary and will be used to address you personally. For sending the newsletter, we use the double opt-in process, meaning we will only send a newsletter once you have explicitly confirmed your subscription. We will send you a confirmation email requesting that you confirm your wish to receive newsletters in the future by clicking a link. By activating the confirmation link, you consent to the use of your personal data in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. When subscribing, we store your email address and the registration date, solely to trace potential abuse. Data collected during newsletter subscription is used exclusively for marketing communication via the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in the newsletter or by sending an email to shop@ideal.de or revoke your consent. Upon unsubscribing, your email is immediately deleted from the newsletter distribution list unless further processing is permitted by law and you have consented to it.
Google Universal Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics enables the analysis of website visitor behavior, providing data such as page views, duration of visit, operating systems used, and referral sources. This data is compiled in a user ID and attributed to the visiting device. Google Analytics uses technologies to recognize users for behavioral analysis (e.g., cookies, device fingerprinting). Information collected is usually transferred to and stored at a Google server in the US. This analysis tool is used pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the website operator’s legitimate interest in optimizing its web presence and advertising. If consent has been requested, processing occurs solely on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and §25(1) TTDSG, as far as consent includes storage of cookies or access to user device information. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. Data transfer to the USA is based on EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses. Details at: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Tag Manager allows us to manage tracking or analytics tools and other technologies on our website. The tool itself does not create user profiles, store cookies, or perform analyses; it enables the administration and deployment of tools managed via Tag Manager. However, your IP address may be transferred to and processed by Google’s parent company in the United States. The use of Google Tag Manager is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on the website operator’s legitimate interest in quick, efficient integration and management of tools. If separate consent is obtained, processing occurs exclusively on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and §25(1) TTDSG). Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
Google Optimize
Our website uses Google Optimize, integrated into Google Analytics. Google Optimize analyzes the use of different versions of our website to help enhance usability according to user behavior. Google Optimize collects cookies and personal usage data. You may prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings (see “browser plugin”). You can also prevent data collection via Google Analytics (see “opt-out”).
Google DoubleClick
This website utilizes Google DoubleClick features, provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. DoubleClick is used to show you interest-based ads throughout the Google advertising network. DoubleClick customizes ads to the viewer’s interests, which may include ads in Google search or banners from DoubleClick partners. DoubleClick must be able to recognize users and link website visits, clicks, and user behavior, accomplished through cookies or similar recognition technologies. Collected information is compiled into pseudonymous user profiles to enable the display of interest-based ads. Use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and §25(1) TTDSG. Consent may be withdrawn at any time. For more information and choices for opting out of Google ads: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads and https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated.
IP Anonymization
We have activated IP anonymization on this website to ensure your IP address is truncated within EU member states or other parties to the European Economic Area Agreement before transfer to the US. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to a Google server in the US and truncated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the website operator to evaluate your website use, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser in connection with Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.
You may object to collection and storage via user ID at any time with effect for the future by disabling Google Analytics on all systems you use (e.g., another browser or mobile device).
Browser Plugin
You may prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate browser setting, but please note that doing so may restrict functionality of the site. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by cookies (including your IP address) and its processing by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. More information on data use by Google Analytics is available in Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.
Opt-Out of Data Collection
You may prevent your data from being collected by Google Analytics by clicking the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set, which prevents future data collection upon visiting this website: Disable Google Analytics. More information is in Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.
Order Data Processing
We have executed a data processing agreement with Google and implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities fully when using Google Analytics.
Note on Embedded Videos
We use videos on our website, hosted via external third-party providers. This integration causes server requests to the providers.
YouTube
This website uses the YouTube embedding function to display and play videos provided by "YouTube", part of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland. The extended privacy mode is enabled, according to the provider, only starting data storage when videos are played. When you play embedded YouTube videos, “YouTube” sets cookies to collect user behavior information. According to “YouTube,” these are used, among other things, to gather video statistics, improve user-friendliness, and prevent abusive practices. If you are logged into Google, your data is associated with your account when you click a video. To avoid the association, log out before activating the button. Google stores this data (even for users not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them for advertising, market research, and/or the demand-based design of its website according to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You have a right to object to profile creation, which must be exercised directly with YouTube. Use of YouTube may result in personal data transfer to Google LLC servers in the USA. Each time the website is accessed, regardless of video playback, a connection to Google’s network is established, potentially triggering further data processing beyond our control. In case of data transfer to Google LLC in the USA, Google is certified under the EU–U.S. Privacy Shield which guarantees EU-level data protection. Further information on data handling by YouTube is found at: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.
Use of Google Maps
We use Google Maps (API) from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google") on our website. Google Maps is a service for displaying interactive (land) maps to visualize geographic information. Using this service will display our location and help you plan your route. When visiting a page with a Google Maps map, information such as your IP address may be transmitted to Google servers in the US. This occurs regardless of whether you are logged into a Google user account. If you are logged into Google, your data is associated with your account; log out before activating the button to prevent this. Google stores this data (even for users not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on interests in personalized ads, market research, and/or demand-based website design. You have a right of objection to these user profiles; exercise this with Google.
If you disagree with future data transmission to Google via use of Google Maps, you can disable Google Maps entirely by deactivating JavaScript in your browser. Consequently, Google Maps and map functionality will no longer be available. Usage of "Google Maps" and information collected follows Google’s terms of service: http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/terms/regional.html as well as the additional Google Maps terms: https://www.google.com/intl/en_en/help/terms_maps.html. More details regarding Google Maps privacy can be found at: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
Use of HubSpot
Krug & Priester / IDEAL uses HubSpot (HubSpot Inc.) for analytics on its websites. "Web beacons" and "cookies," stored on your computer, enable analytics of your website use. Data collected (e.g., IP address, location, browser type, visit duration, pages visited) is evaluated by HubSpot for KPMG to generate website visit reports. If you subscribe to newsletters or download documents, visits may be associated with personal details (name/email) per given consent, allowing personal and targeted information. Data collection by HubSpot can be prevented at any time via browser settings (see section on cookies). For more on functionality, see HubSpot’s privacy policy: http://legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy.

As outlined above, exercising your objection will result in us ceasing processing for direct marketing.
Retention Period of Personal Data
